As a Controls Engineer for Construction, you deploy and maintain building automation and electrical power monitoring systems in AWS data centers. You will coordinate with Data Center Engineering Operations and other teams to implement new builds and upgrades, ensuring high availability and resiliency. You’ll work on control panels, instrumentation, and PLC/DCS logic, delivering quality on time. This role combines field deployment with cross-functional collaboration to support AWS’s mission of reliable, scalable infrastructure.

Deploy and manage BMS/EPMS in AWS data centers
On-site management of deployment and commissioning activities
Direct control vendors to install and commission systems
Ensure quality and timely delivery of tasks and projects
Coordinate permits and service work with operations teams
Develop control panel BOMs and ISA data sheets
Create wiring diagrams, power distribution drawings, and logic diagrams
Prepare cable routing plans and schedules
Inspect, test, and commission facility systems
Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet project scope and budget
Support new builds and upgrades with AWS DCEO teams
5+ years of project management in data centers or critical infrastructure
Knowledge of critical data center equipment
Experience with electrical diagrams and engineering documentation
Familiarity with building codes and regulations (Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA)
Experience reading construction specifications and drawings
Experience in data center engineering operations and electrical/mechanical infra
Ability to interpret design intent and apply specifications to work environment
