Key Responsibilities

Serve as the regional lead for the Americas.

Drive new entity formations and restructurings for business lines across the company.

Provide risk assessments and legal issue spotting for corporate law matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Research and advise on corporate law issues.

Collaborate with stakeholders across the company.

Work effectively with outside counsel across numerous jurisdictions.

Use and build AI tools—including prompt engineering and automation of document review & creation processes—for application in day‑to‑day legal work.

A Day in the Life Your primary focus will be serving as the go‑to corporate law expert for the Americas region within the Global Subsidiaries Legal team, driving entity maintenance, formations, and restructurings. You will research and advise on corporate law questions spanning multiple jurisdictions with a strategic view, spot legal issues, assess risk, and advise business clients on the best path forward. You will partner with stakeholders across the organization, work closely with outside counsel in foreign jurisdictions, and apply AI tools to streamline and innovate how the team approaches its work.

About the Team The Global Subsidiaries Legal team is responsible for forming and maintaining Amazon's subsidiaries worldwide. As the Americas regional lead, you will be part of a collaborative team that manages corporate governance, compliance, and restructuring activities across a complex, multi‑jurisdictional landscape. This is a high‑impact individual contributor role where your corporate law or compliance expertise, project‑management skills, and partnership with peers and stakeholders will directly shape how Amazon structures and governs its entities.

Basic Qualifications

Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.

5+ years of post‑bar admission legal experience.

Experience with AI/ML technologies.

5+ years of corporate law or legal compliance experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing multiple internal stakeholders and advising cross‑functional teams.

Experience in global subsidiary governance/legal compliance.

Experience leading cross‑functional projects and managing large, complicated programs.

Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross‑functional teams across geographies and business units.

Experience working on corporate activities, including formations, M&A transactions, venture entities, and investment deals.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
