Angove Partners is partnering with a top tier insurance underwriter, seeking an Tax Lawyer in Milan to join their team as a Senior Tax Underwriter. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in Corporate Tax at a law firm.
What is the role?
As a member of the underwriting team on transactional insurance deals, you will handle a variety of workstreams in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The role will be very hands-on and provide in-depth exposure to M&A Tax and corporate transactions.
What will you be doing?
- Assess complex corporate and individual tax risks for transactions, ensuring compliance with Italian tax law and broader EU regulatory frameworks.
- Review and underwrite tax liability insurance policies, including evaluating due diligence reports, financial statements, and legal documentation.
- Collaborate with legal advisors, brokers, and clients to structure policies that mitigate identified tax exposures in mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
- Monitor changes in Italian and international tax legislation, advising internal teams and clients on potential impacts to underwriting decisions.
- Lead negotiations on policy terms, pricing, and coverage scope while managing a portfolio of high-value or high-risk tax insurance cases.
What do you need to apply to this role?
We anticipate that candidates will have at least 5 years of tax law experience. Experience working with Tax Liability Insurance would be advantageous. xdwybme
