About the Company

Following a period of strong organic growth and acquisitions, we are strengthening our finance leadership team to support continued expansion, operational excellence, and value creation.


We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Tax Manager to lead the Group’s tax function from our Northern Italy headquarters. This is a high-impact role offering broad international exposure and close interaction with senior leadership, shareholders, external advisors, and finance teams across the Group.


The Role

The Group Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all direct and indirect tax matters across the Group, ensuring compliance, managing tax risk, supporting M&A activity, and driving tax-efficient structures aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives.

This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise, international tax exposure, and the ability to operate effectively within a dynamic Private Equity environment.


Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Oversee corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other tax compliance obligations across the Group.
  • Coordinate preparation and review of tax returns with local finance teams and external advisors.
  • Manage the Group’s tax reporting process, including current and deferred tax calculations under IFRS/local GAAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax provisioning for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.

International Tax & Structuring

  • Support the development and implementation of efficient international tax structures.
  • Monitor transfer pricing policies and ensure compliance with OECD and local regulations.
  • Manage intercompany arrangements and tax implications of cross-border transactions.
  • Advise senior management on international tax developments and potential impacts on the business.

M&A and Private Equity Support

  • Support acquisitions, integrations, restructurings, and refinancing activities from a tax perspective.
  • Lead tax due diligence processes together with external advisors.
  • Identify tax risks and opportunities in transactions and post-deal integration projects.
  • Partner with the Private Equity sponsor and senior leadership on value creation initiatives.

Tax Risk Management

  • Ensure robust tax governance and internal controls across the Group.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities and oversee tax audits and disputes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess implications for the business.
  • Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, and documentation.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a key advisor to finance, legal, treasury, and operational teams.
  • Support commercial and operational decision-making with tax insight.
  • Build strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and stakeholders across jurisdictions.


Candidate Profile

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law.
  • Qualified tax advisor, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 7–12+ years of relevant tax experience gained within:
  • International groups,
  • Big 4 / leading advisory firms, and/or
  • Private Equity-backed environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian corporate taxation and international tax principles.
  • Experience with transfer pricing, VAT, and cross-border tax matters.
  • Exposure to M&A transactions and corporate restructurings is highly desirable. xdwybme
