In this role you will lead the environmental permitting function within AECOM's EHS and Sustainability team, guiding complex projects and aligning permitting with the firm’s sustainability goals. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, serve as the primary liaison with regulators, and drive risk-aware decision-making. Your work will shape permitting strategy across renewable, infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors, contributing to responsible project delivery. Strategic leadership: implement and align environmental permitting strategy with business objectives and sustainability commitments. Monitor regulatory changes and adjust permitting approaches accordingly. Manage environmental permitting teams, ensuring training, resources, and performance. Oversee all permitting processes and act as decision-maker on high-risk compliance matters. Provide technical oversight for major or complex permitting activities. Engage with government agencies and external stakeholders to build collaborative relationships. Negotiate permits, exemptions, and compliance agreements. Identify and mitigate environmental risks; develop contingency plans. Develop environmental studies (e.g., EIA, ESHIA, VincA study, Landscape Assessment). Interpret legislative changes to support client environmental permits. Identify new markets and services; support business development and proposal creation. Lead generation, market analysis, strategic planning, and networking to expand market presence. Responsabilità
