Overview

Experteer Overview As Instrumentation Engineer at Saipem, you will support the SMAUT department within ENCAR to deliver instrumentation systems for onshore plants and floaters. You will drive from estimation to detailed design, ensuring compliant specs, 3D modelling, and technical alignment with suppliers. You will collaborate across disciplines to optimize instrumentation solutions, timelines, and costs while supporting construction and commissioning. This role offers international project exposure, a strong digital tools focus, and the chance to contribute to a safer, more sustainable energy future. Responsibilities

Review client documentation and endorse requirements Prepare instrumentation specs, datasheets, and installation drawings Define instrumentation quantities for procurement (MTO) and installation (BoQ) P&ID mechanization and instrumentation database preparation Ensure Instrumentation 3D modelling design and supplier documentation review Draft technical requisitions and perform bidder technical alignment Monitor vendor design progress and verify sizing calculations Collaborate in multidisciplinary reviews and issue resolution Support project planning, schedule tracking, and corrective actions Site engineering activities during construction and commissioning Optimize instrumentation design for cost and safety compliance Qualifications

At least 5 years of Instrumentation Engineer experience in Energy (Power, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable, or Floaters) Ability to develop technical specs, datasheets, and installation designs independently Strong interfacing with other disciplines and suppliers Independent problem-solving across interdisciplinary issues Experience with plant design tools (Aveva, Hexagon, Autodesk) or similar Comfort in digitized, data-driven environments English B2, Italian C1 Bachelor/Master in STEM field Benefits
