Interim Finance Director

The Interim Management Division of Randstad Professional, specialized in the search and selection of Middle & Senior Management profiles, is looking for on behalf of a leading multinational corporation one professional profile of:

INTERIM FINANCE DIRECTOR, Energy trading

Reporting directly to the Energy Regional South Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the following activities:

• Define the finance strategy and annual operating plan (budget and forecast) aligned with business objectives;
• Lead end-to-end statutory accounting and group reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closing;
• Oversee payables, receivables, and settlement accounting related to physical and financial energy transactions;
• Manage standalone and consolidated financial statements, coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and external consultants;
• Drive management reporting and financial analysis linked to business value drivers;
• Manage cash forecasting, liquidity, and banking facilities to support operational and strategic needs;
• Assess financial and operational risks, including derivatives and trading-related exposures;
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company’s policies, including tax, VAT, and customs obligations;
• Provide financial insights and strategic support to the Board and leadership team;
• Lead, coach, and develop the Finance & Accounting team of 8 people;
• Partner with commercial teams to evaluate business opportunities, investments, and funding requirements.

Ideal Profile

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines;
• Strong experience in finance leadership roles, mandatory within energy, trading, or commodity businesses;
• Solid knowledge of statutory accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash management;
• Understanding of derivatives, trading environments, and risk management;
• Experience operating in international and matrix organizations;
• Strong leadership, analytical mindset, and business partnering capabilities;
• Fluent English communication skills.
