Role Overview
DECALIA Capital is considering extending the coverage to the Italian market. As a consequence, we are seeking an Investment Analyst with approximately 1-2 years of experience to support the team across all phases of the investment lifecycle, including origination, execution, and portfolio management. The candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals on live transactions and portfolio activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform financial analysis and modeling (LBO, valuation, scenario analysis)
Support the evaluation of new investment opportunities
Prepare investment materials (investment memos, presentations for the Investment Committee)
Participate in due diligence processes (financial, commercial, legal)
Monitor portfolio companies (KPI analysis, reporting, budgeting)
Conduct market research and industry analysis
Assist in exit processes (M&A transactions, data room preparation, coordination with advisors)
Requirements
1-2+ years of experience in:
Private Equity
Investment Banking
Consulting
Transaction services
Equity research
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, engineering or related fields
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Solid understanding of financial analysis and accounting principles
Knowledge of valuation methodologies (DCF, trading comparables, LBO)
Fluency in English, Italian and French (German is a plus)
