Duration: 12 month initial contract
Location: Milan, Italy, before moving to Afungi on rotational basis
Full time in Milan. Before moving to 28/28 Rotation in Afungi.

client
who is a world-leading organization in the oil and gas industry is recruiting for a Production Train Day Superintendent, where you will play a crucial role in preparing LNG trains operation for production phase, start‑up and running the asset. Based initially in the Milan office for preparation phase (develop procedures, procure tools/chemicals, HAZOP/Process studies), before moving to site to oversee Operations.
Role Overview
Lead and manage LNG Train production activities ensuring compliance with company standards.
Review engineering documents and develop production procedures during the engineering phase.
Participate in start‑up sequence definition and HAZOP reviews.
Ensure safety of personnel and environmental protection during operations.
Provide timely support to Production Shift teams for safe and efficient operations.
Coordinate planned work with Maintenance & Inspection departments to meet production targets.
Conduct regular safety audits and maintain records of Train activities.
Identify training needs and manage development plans for production staff.
Skills & Qualifications
Production Engineering: Strong background in LNG production processes and methods.
Natural Gas Treatment: Expertise in natural gas treatment and LNG production activities.
PTW System: Proficient in Work Permit Systems within the Oil & Gas industry.
Emergency Response: High knowledge of emergency response systems and plant emergency handling.
Technical Proficiency: Good knowledge of computer Windows Office applications.
Communication Skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Education & Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 20 years in oil, gas, or petrochemical production, with at least 10 years in senior positions and 10 years specifically in LNG production plants.
