In this role you will drive scientific excellence and strategic medical leadership for the Rare & Epilepsy franchise in Milan. You will connect regional, area and EU PVUs to align long‑term objectives, clinical development and cross‑border initiatives. You will shape the medical content of local plans and ensure high‑quality science across all materials and studies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, MSLs and external stakeholders to deliver patient value and market access impact. This position offers the chance to influence strategy, develop the local medical community and contribute to global scientific programs. salary range 70,400 - 92,400 equal opportunity employer opportunity for cross-country collaboration professional development and coaching structured onboarding and support Maintain highest scientific standards for strategy execution and tactical implementation Provide functional leadership of the local Medical Community (Medical Solution Leads & MSLs) Contribute to interdisciplinary development of Patient Value Plans (PVP) Shape local plans with medical input and advise MSL-tactics Ensure medical-scientific solutions are accurate and aligned with EU strategy Develop medical knowledge within the local team and support scientific skill growth Support conception of medical solutions (advisory boards, patient initiatives, value concepts) Prepare the area for future medical solutions in the pipeline Steer local guideline initiatives and pipeline projects implemented by MSLs Serve as primary contact for global/EU teams on studies, ISS, NIS, and RWE projects Oversee publications produced from local data Ensure high-quality scientific content for regulatory submissions and pricing negotiations Act as medical lead for market access activities Coordinate alignment between EU, area and region on long-term strategic goals Bachelor in Life Sciences MD, PharmD, or PhD preferred Fluent English (spoken and written) 10+ years in healthcare stakeholder-facing roles Knowledge of regulatory and HTA/Access regulations Proven coaching skills for individuals and teams Proven ability in business planning and execution of tactical plans Experience with clinical studies, ISS, NIS, and RWE projects beneficial Strong problem solving, adaptability and dealing with complexity Project management skills with multi-priority execution Autonomy, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement mindset In this role you will drive scientific excellence and strategic medical leadership for the Rare & Epilepsy franchise in Milan.
