Mep Cost Manager

We're looking for an experienced MEP Cost Manager to join our Hyperscale Data Centre project in Milan.

The Role

You will play a key role in the commercial and cost management of the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) scope across a major Data Centre project. Reporting directly into the Project Director, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining cost plans, managing risk and value engineering, and ensuring robust commercial control throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed MEP cost estimates, forecasts and cash‑flow projections
• Lead cost planning workshops and value engineering initiatives
• Review subcontractor bids and support procurement strategy
• Track budget performance and provide analysis against planned targets
• Produce regular cost reports, change control documentation and commercial risk logs
• Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement and construction teams to drive best value delivery
• Support commercial negotiations and contractual claim review

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Cost Manager or Commercial Manager within MEP on large‑scale projects (Data Centres, Industrial, Infrastructure or similar)
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, build‑up and cost drivers
• Excellent commercial acumen, numeracy and reporting skills
• Confidence in value engineering and cost optimisation techniques
• Experience with cost management software and tools
• Fluent English;
  Italian language skillshighly advantageous
• Professional certification in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or related discipline desirable
