Overview

Experteer Overview. As Metallurgy-Welding Engineer in the ENCAR line, you apply metallurgical and welding expertise to onshore/offshore plants, pipelines, and related facilities across Oil & Gas and related processes. You will develop specs, review welding documents, and manage welding qualifications, collaborating with process teams, vendors, and research bodies to adopt new technologies. The role supports contractual standards and material performance, contributing to Saipem's energy transition. You will work globally, shaping fabrication and construction outcomes with impact. Responsibilities

Provide metallurgical and welding expertise across engineering disciplines to meet standards Analyze tender documents related to metallic materials and fabrication processes Prepare and update welding specifications, PMI, NDT tables, and technical specs Review welding documents (pWPS, WPS, PQR) and related procedures Define and witness trial tests; manage welding qualifications and supervise until Welding Book issuance Collaborate with internal and external partners to monitor material performance and integrate new welding technologies Qualifications

≥5 years in Welding Engineer roles Knowledge of metallurgy and basic corrosion Welding processes, NDT methods, and international standards (API, ASME, AWS, EN/ISO) Fluent English; second language appreciated IT skills: Office, CAD, Power BI; experience with databases and digital tools Willingness to travel and work abroad Benefits and Employment Terms
