Experteer Overview

In this role you support the installation, start-up and operation of highly automated production systems at a new site. You contribute to a global program focused on quality, safety and continuous improvement. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that MES‑E&A activities align with business objectives and regulatory standards. You will drive capital investments, optimize assets and train operators and maintenance staff. This is a hands‑on, impact‑focused role at Purina’s Italian operation.

  • Support MES, Electrical and Automation operations and CAPEX projects to meet quality, safety and production targets
  • Lead industrialisation in capital investments, defining user/technical specs, coordinating stakeholders, following up development, pre‑testing, implementing and training
  • Manage assets with a safety‑first approach; participate in engineering tools at site level (NSAT, NET, AMM) and M&I activities
  • Ensure MES‑E&A installations comply with safety, health, environment and product quality standards; maintain key documentation (SLD, URS, FDS, calibration procedures)
  • Oversee Change Management for MES‑E&A modifications and ensure compliance with market/local legislation
  • Champion Product and Process Mastery through deep process understanding to improve quality, safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary projects and start‑up of technical equipment and production lines
  • Self‑manage against KPIs/objectives and actively track progress
  • Support TPM and preventive maintenance activities when relevant
  • Foster continuous improvement and safeguarding know‑how and competitive advantage

Responsabilità

  • Minimum 3 years Automation and/or MES engineer with Electrical experience
  • Personnel supervision of technical teams or contractors
  • Experience in engineering projects as part of multidisciplinary teams (Electrical and Automation)
  • Experience in start‑up of technical equipment or production lines
  • Strong self‑management and KPI‑driven approach
  • Familiarity with TPM, preventive maintenance is a plus
