Product Engineer (Mobile) - Accounting Domain (Swift and/or Kotlin)

Overview

Join us as a Product Engineer and help build financial tools that empower 600,000+ SMEs and their accountants to gain full control over their finances. You will work on high-impact financial features under the guidance of our Head of Engineering, with support from leadership.

Responsibilities

• Ship features end-to-end, collaborating with Product Managers and Designers, using AI tools and automation to accelerate development.
• Challenge the product, understand the "why" behind the "what", and prototype solutions quickly.
• Operate with squad autonomy: own the roadmap, choose approaches, and ship independently.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

• Accounting domain knowledge: experience with accounting, bookkeeping, invoicing, or tax-related products, or strong understanding of how accountants work with software.
• Product mindset: understand business value, navigate complex domain logic, and challenge specs to build the best product.
• AI-native workflow: experience using AI to aid coding, testing, and deployment.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: experience with Swift, Kotlin, or other modern mobile environments, and willingness to learn new skills.
• Strong English communication: collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and articulate technical decisions clearly.

About Your Future Manager

You will report to Yanis, Head of Engineering. He emphasizes ownership, a culture that values learning from failures, and empowering the squad to ship.

Hiring Process

• Two interviews (1 hour each): first with Talent Acquisition Manager, then with Yanis or a team lead.
• A live exercise (2 hours) to demonstrate thinking and provide a sense of working at Qonto.

We aim for the hiring process to last up to 10 days from first interview to potential offer.
