Job Description
Wood is recruiting for a Project Control Lead to join its Projects Team, focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
The Role
Being part of the Project Control Department, coordinating the team of planning and cost control engineers on the project, ensuring consistency among the team in terms of analysis and reporting. International mobility and availability to be assigned is essential in the context of our business.

Responsibilities
The key objectives for this role are:
Act as the focal point with the client and any affiliate / contractor Project Controllers as appropriate to ensure costs and progress are reported accurately, ensure alignment with the project reporting requirements and ensure timely and accurate cost and progress reporting
Monitor overall project / assignment progress status, achievement and non-achievement of major milestones and analyse and forecast performance in relation to plan
Identification, monitoring and reporting against the project critical path providing early warning to the Project Manager of any potential slippages
Identifies and establishes the communications interfaces essential for the delivery of cost, planning, scheduling and risk deliverables and services
Report project status and KPI to management
Develops the project Work and Cost Breakdown Structure (WBS & CBS)
Manage the implementation of the cost and planning control structures in alignment with the project Work Breakdown Structure
Timely control and forecasting of budgets using earned value management principles (EVM) and ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and included in the budget and schedules if applicable.
Accountable for accuracy and timeliness of S-curves and histograms produced by team.
Accountable for delivery and ongoing maintenance of the projects, logic linked Gantt Charts (with Primavera P6).
Accountable for providing analysis of current and future resource needs for the project to the Project Manager.
Lead cost and schedule risk analysis workshops / sessions both internally and with clients.
Ensure Project Controls processes and procedures are accurate, that the project controls team are familiar with them and comply with their requirements.

Master Degree in an Engineering or relevant disciplines
Experience in the role (at least two EPC project spent as Project Control leader)
Oracle P6 and Project Risk analysis ability
Self-motivation, a proactive outlook and good communication skills
Availability to travels and assignments abroad
Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering workflows, from basic design up to the issue for construction
Fluent in Italian and English
Contract & Classification
Contract type: Permanent
Collective Agreement (CCNL): Industria Metalmeccanica (CNEL C011)
Job Classification level: quadro, consistent with role requirements and applicable CCNL
Compensation
Gross Annual Salary: the initial gross annual salary will be € 65,000, paid in 14 instalments
The compensation package will include applicable CCNL elements and company benefits
Variable pay and additional benefits will be detailed during the selection process
