Project Director - Industrial Buildings

Linum Consult’s client is an international design and build main contractor, specialising in large commercial and industrial buildings. They are currently seeking a Project Director to join their team on a manufacturing facility construction project in Milan.

• Based on site, you will be managing the main contractors, sub-contractors, designers and cost consultancies
• Overseeing the detailed design of the project
• Leading the project management team to ensure that the project cycle is completed and meets the agreed standards and objectives
• Carrying out portfolio cost control and forecast reporting, estimating project budget approval reviews, and conducting costed risk management
• Creating an organisation structure to optimise the most efficient use of resources
• Preparing the budget for your department, and monitoring the financial performance of the project; rectifying any problems that arise
• Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure that all works are carried out to high standards, deadlines and budgets.
• Recommending improvements to departmental policies and procedures

• Degree qualified in Construction or Engineering
• Strong background within the construction industry, with experience of working on highly-technical large industrial buildings
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Fluent in spoken and written Italian and English
• A history of working for either main contractors or engineering consultancies
• The right to live and work in the EU
