Project Engineering Manager Secondary Distribution & Products

Overview

In this role you will drive end-to-end project execution in electrification and automation, shaping large MV switchgear projects in a cross-functional setting. You’ll work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery while managing technical and financial aspects. The position offers hybrid collaboration in Milan and opportunities to influence project outcomes across the lifecycle. You will contribute to Siemens’ mission of transforming energy and industrial infrastructure with practical, impactful engineering leadership.

Job Responsibilities

• Project Engineering & Planning: configure and cost MV switchgear, draft schedules and forecasts, monitor stock and plan replenishments
• Procurement & Order Management: manage MV equipment and charging station orders, prepare specs, participate in FAT
• Cross-functional & Supplier Coordination: maintain communication with factories/subcontractors; align with procurement, commissioning and sales
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: provide basic technical support and coordinate aftersales; influence decision-makers
• Project Execution & Delivery: ensure high-quality delivery within deadlines and manage customer requirements with sales
• Financial Accountability: own technical and financial project aspects including P&L tracking

Professional Requirements

• Knowledge of electrical plants, particularly MV distribution networks
• Experience in project management
• Graduation in Electrical Engineering
• General knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
• Proficiency in English and Italian
• Eligibility to work in Italy
