Position Purpose
As Proposal Manager, you will respond to the head of the SONSUB COMMERCIAL AND TENDERING department and be part of the Drilling & Sonsub Business Line, ensuring overall management of the Proposal activities.
You will join a team of enthusiastic professionals and manage proposals spanning the entire portfolio of Sonsub products, liaising with all competent disciplines and company functions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the Tender Documents requirements and the Contract conditions, identifying the critical issues to be addressed.
- Develop the Proposal Plan, coordinate the Proposal kick‑off meeting, define the Project cost structure; manage the interfaces with Partners and Client, ensuring the definition of project organisation, overall project schedule and overall execution plan & resource plan.
- Ensure the review of cost estimates, project cash flow and the preparation of Cost Closure Reports, and that Risks Analysis is correctly applied, guaranteeing through ROBS (Risks and Opportunity Breakdown Structure) the definition of the risk register via the R&O methodology.
- Ensure the delivery of the Proposal to the Client and manage the post‑bid clarification phase with the Client. Lead negotiations to reach agreement on outstanding pricing, commercial, contractual and technical aspects and formalise the Contract.
- Ensure definition of the Control Budget; in case of Contract award, manage the hand‑over to project execution.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s Degree in Engineering
Experience: At least 10 years as Proposal Manager or Project Manager for industrial projects, preferred background in high‑technology products including robotics and processing.
Languages: English B2
Technical Skills: Project Management, Risk Management and key project processes, knowledge of public works bid scheme to be seen as a plus.
Other Skills: Ability to manage timelines, resources and multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work in small teams against tough deadlines, focusing on key elements and results; strong problem solving skills; effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
