Role Description
The Responsable Comptable is a full-time, on-site role based in Paris, responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the local entity. Day-to-day tasks include managing general ledger entries, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, preparing monthly and annual closings, and ensuring accurate recording of fixed assets. The role also involves preparing financial statements, supporting tax filings, and ensuring compliance with local and group financial policies. The Responsable Comptable collaborates closely with management and external partners, provides financial insights to support business decisions, and contributes to process improvements and internal controls.
Qualifications
Strong Accounting skills, including general ledger management and account reconciliation.
Experience with Financial Statements, including monthly closing, reporting, and analysis.
Knowledge of Tax Preparation and compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
Ability to manage Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
Background in Business Control, budgeting, and internal controls to support sound financial management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification is a plus.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Fluency in Italian and good command of English; French is an advantage.
