Senior Manager, Health & Safety – EMEA
Department : Loss Prevention
Reports To:
Vice President, Global Loss Prevention, Security & Safety
Location : Milan, Italy
Who You Are:
You are an experienced Health & Safety professional with strong operational and regional expertise across EMEA. You are proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. You are passionate about embedding a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across diverse markets.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the Health & Safety Management System across the EMEA region, aligned to ISO 45001 and continuous improvement principles
Support the execution of H&S strategy within EMEA, ensuring alignment with global frameworks while adapting to regional regulatory requirements
Drive compliance by establishing and maintaining effective inspection, audit, and monitoring programmes across offices, retail, and distribution environments
Monitor, interpret, and implement health & safety legislation across EMEA markets, ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are in place
Manage incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions across the region, identifying trends and ensuring lessons learned are shared
Produce regular H&S performance reports for regional leadership, tracking KPIs, risks, and improvement actions
Partner with HR and business leaders on health, safety, and wellbeing matters, including individual risk assessments where required
Support insurance and claims processes across EMEA, including coordination with loss adjusters and ensuring appropriate documentation and case management
Collaborate with Store Development, Construction, and Facilities teams to ensure safety and regulatory compliance in new store openings, refurbishments, and office projects
Identify training needs and support the delivery of H&S training programmes to build capability across the region
Act as a key EMEA contact for external stakeholders including regulators, consultants, and service providers
Proactively identify risks and hazards, recommending practical and effective control measures
Manage and develop a small regional H&S team and/or external partners
Contribute to broader global H&S initiatives and projects as required
You’ll Need to Have:
Degree or equivalent experience
NEBOSH Diploma (or international equivalent)
Chartered Member of IOSH (or working towards) / equivalent experience
Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation across EMEA, particularly within retail and office environments
Experience conducting H&S audits (ISO 45001) and implementing corrective action plans
Experience managing third-party providers and consultants
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Proficient in MS Office

Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements across multiple countries
Experience working in a multi-country EMEA environment
Strong influencing skills and ability to drive change across different stakeholder groups
Experience working with enforcement agencies, insurers, and external auditors
Clear, concise communication style with the ability to translate technical topics into practical actions
