COMPANY OVERVIEW

Our client is a leading European specialist MEP subcontractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering some of the most technically demanding mechanical and electrical packages across the region. The business operates across multiple sectors but is particularly recognised for its strength in highly regulated, technically intensive environments where engineering quality and delivery certainty are critical.

With a long and consistent track record of repeat appointment by leading main contractors and end-clients, the business has built deep partnerships across the European construction market. Their work is typically associated with landmark schemes, large package values and complex multi-stakeholder environments.

Continued growth across the Italian and wider European market has driven significant investment into the commercial function, creating a need for experienced MEP-focused surveyors to come in at a pivotal stage of expansion. The business is well-funded, strategically led and consistently winning new work at scale.

Culturally, the business is known for the calibre of its technical people, the depth of its commercial capability and a structured approach to career development. Senior leaders take a genuine interest in the progression of their people, and there are clear opportunities to advance into Senior Commercial Manager and Commercial Lead positions.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS

You will join a high-performing commercial team operating across a portfolio of complex mechanical and electrical packages within healthcare and mission-critical project environments. These are technically demanding, fast-moving schemes where MEP scope often represents a significant proportion of overall project value.

The working environment is collaborative, technically engaging and rewarding for surveyors who enjoy taking ownership of significant package values from procurement through to final account. You will operate closely with project managers, engineering leads, design teams and main contractor counterparts, providing trusted commercial input across every stage of delivery.

Project exposure is broad and high-value, covering procurement strategy, sub-contract management, variation control, cost reporting, risk management and final account negotiation. You will work on packages where technical complexity and commercial intricacy go hand-in-hand, providing genuine intellectual challenge.

The business operates a flexible and modern working culture, with a balance of site presence, client engagement and office-based delivery. There is strong emphasis on knowledge sharing across the wider European commercial function, providing exposure to a broad range of project types and delivery models.
