THE ROLEAlanui is looking for a Senior Wholesale Manager to join our team in Milan. You will be responsible for driving the Brand’s wholesale business across key international markets, developing strong relationships with luxury fashion retailers, department stores and strategic partners. The ideal candidate has a solid background in luxury fashion sales, with a minimum of 7+ years' experience in a similar commercial role, strong market knowledge and a proven ability to grow business while protecting Brand positioning and distribution quality.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Develop and implement the wholesale sales strategy in line with the Brand’s commercial objectives and positioning. Manage and grow relationships with existing luxury wholesale accounts, including high‑end multi‑brand stores, department stores and e‑commerce partners. Identify and develop new business opportunities across relevant international markets, ensuring consistency with the Brand’s luxury positioning. Lead seasonal sales campaigns, appointments and showroom activities, presenting the collection to buyers and key partners. Manage sales budgets, forecasts, sell‑in targets and performance analysis by market, client and product category. Monitor sell‑out performance, market trends and competitor activity, providing regular feedback and insights to internal teams. Work closely with merchandising, product, marketing, customer service and logistics teams to ensure a smooth commercial process from order placement to delivery. Negotiate commercial terms, budgets and assortment plans while maintaining long‑term strategic partnerships. Support the definition of distribution plans, client segmentation and market priorities. Represent the Brand with professionalism and credibility during market appointments, sales campaigns, events and client meetings.
WHO YOU ARE: 7+ years' experience in a sales, wholesale or commercial management role within the luxury fashion industry. Proven experience working with luxury fashion retailers, department stores, high‑end multi‑brand stores and/or premium e‑commerce partners. Strong understanding of the international luxury fashion market, with an established network of relevant buyers and commercial contacts. Previous experience in ready‑to‑wear, knitwear or lifestyle luxury brands. Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills and ability to manage sales targets, budgets and forecasts. Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into commercial actions. Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple markets, clients and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships both internally and externally. Proactive, results‑driven and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. Fluent in English written and spoken; this will be tested during the interview process, other languages will be considered a plus. A genuine passion for luxury fashion and a clear understanding of brand positioning, distribution quality and client experience.
