Experteer Overview
In this role you will underwrite, market and service moderately complex surety risks across Italy, building a regional book of business and supporting producers. You will analyze financials, apply underwriting guidelines and collaborate with brokers, claims and legal teams to ensure compliant, profitable submissions. You will independently drive field marketing and underwriting activities while advancing Liberty Mutual Surety's market presence and service excellence.

Market, underwrite and service moderately complex risks for a regional book of business with guidance on higher-risk accounts
Solicit and call on producers/customers to support marketing plans and business development
Perform financial statement analysis and credit assessments to evaluate risk and determine acceptability
Monitor underwriting quality through self-audits and reporting; support management with risk metrics
Develop and execute strategies to increase submissions and profitability; act as trusted underwriting advisor to producers and customers
Identify cross-selling opportunities to other internal product lines; participate in industry events
Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and underwriting standards; assist in indemnity document preparation and terms negotiation
Collaborate with Surety claims and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless underwriting services
Stay updated on competitors and market opportunities; support special projects and new initiatives
Prepare, train on and participate in ongoing underwriting processes and workflows
Responsabilità
Surety UW experience or related experience
Proven analytical ability to evaluate underwriting risks and perform qualitative/quantitative analysis
Ability to understand and explain complex underwriting issues and terms
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with brokers, clients and internal partners
Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work independently
Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements affecting Surety
Fluency in local language and proficient in English; additional languages a plus
Strong collaboration and team integration abilities
Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
