Overview

Ably Resources is supporting a major international energy project with the appointment of an experienced Telecom Engineer to join its team in Milan, Italy. This is a key engineering role supporting telecoms and communications scope across a complex offshore development. The successful candidate will be involved in design review, technical coordination, vendor package review, installation support, testing and commissioning activities. Responsibilities

Reviewing telecom engineering deliverables and technical documentation Supporting systems including PA/GA, CCTV, fibre optics, structured cabling, telephony and radio communications Coordinating telecom interfaces with other engineering disciplines Supporting installation, testing, integration and commissioning activities Working with contractors, vendors and project stakeholders to maintain technical quality and delivery alignment Candidate profile

Degree-qualified in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronic or related Engineering discipline 10+ years’ experience in telecom engineering within oil & gas, offshore, EPC or major energy projects Strong experience with offshore or industrial telecom systems Experience reviewing vendor packages and engineering specifications FAT/SAT, testing and commissioning exposure is desirable Fluent written and spoken English Location
