The Trade Marketing & Commercial Specialist is responsible for executing trade marketing strategies across assigned territories, ensuring effective in‑market activation and consistent execution across all channels. The role develops market‑specific activation plans, oversees in‑store visibility, and optimizes trade investments based on ROI and sales KPIs. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, the position ensures seamless alignment between commercial objectives and execution in the field. It requires strong analytical skills to manage performance metrics, budget accuracy, and activation efficiency. The role also includes a commercial management dimension, with a focus on supporting partners and optimizing distribution to enhance business performance and drive sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Execute trade marketing projects aimed at boosting sell‑out across key retailers, in collaboration with Sales, local distributors, and retail partners
Analyze sell‑in/sell‑out data and key performance indicators to optimize product positioning, assortment, and pricing; create and monitor KPIs to ensure ROI
Develop and implement trade marketing plans to support existing and new product offerings, including merchandising, product demos, online presence, retailer events, and promotional activities
Define visibility plans for projects (in‑store communication, merchandising, promotional activity, events)
Collaborate with HQ to forecast and coordinate marketing materials (catalogues, flyers, POS materials, window displays, etc.)
Support sales teams, providing trade marketing guidance, commercial insights, and execution support to drive sales and distribution
Manage relationships with assigned clients and partners, including distributors and agents, ensuring alignment with company objectives
Conduct gap analysis and implement action plans with local partners and key clients to achieve targets
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Visual, and HQ teams; attend and prepare meetings and presentations with distributors and retailers’ buying and marketing departments to strengthen brand presence and support in‑store/online initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, Category Management, or similar commercial roles, preferably within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods industries
Proven experience working with retailers, distributors, and commercial partners, with a strong understanding of sell‑in and sell‑out dynamics
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, KPIs, and ROI metrics to drive business decisions
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
Experience in developing and executing trade marketing plans, including in‑store activation, merchandising, promotional campaigns, and product launches
Solid understanding of pricing strategies, assortment planning, and retail visibility principles
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) and external partners
Commercial mindset with a results‑driven and hands‑on approach
Fluent in English; additional languages are considered a plus
