Overview
In this role you support the Clinical Data Management team as a foundation-level data management specialist, ensuring compliant and high-quality data outputs. You will act as a DOC for small to mid-scale studies, contribute to data management functions, and assist with database testing, coding, and data review. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve data queries and support audit activities, with opportunities for team leadership under supervision. This role sits at the core of delivering reliable data to inform decisions.
Responsibilities
Serve as a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for protocol-led studies with small teams or multiple central laboratory studies
Contribute to data management functions (e.g., clinical coding, database testing, database design) under guidance
Provide backup support to DOC or Data Team Lead
Perform data review to ensure accuracy and completeness
Generate, track, and resolve data queries/clarifications
Lead or support database audits
Assist in development, testing, and validation of clinical databases and edit specifications
Execute functional testing of programming outputs
Perform clinical data coding per industry standards
Ensure SOPs and work instructions compliance
Maintain effective cross-functional communication with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, mathematical sciences, or related field
Exposure to medical terminology preferred
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Proficiency in computer systems and data management tools
Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
