Technical Sales Manager - Tiles & Engobes Location:

Maranello, Italy (Maranello Facility).

Location & Travel:

Hybrid setup: 2 days per week in the Maranello lab/office; the remaining time split between customer visits, international travel, and home office. Customers are located across Italy, Spain, Turkey, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Poland and other regions. The role involves frequent travel, approximately 8–10 days per month, including time spent on customer sites during trials and implementation phases. We are looking for someone who is already based near Maranello or willing to relocate. Candidates from other EU countries will also be considered, provided they are open to relocating and working from Italy.

Fluency in English is required.

Your Impact In this Role

Customer Complaint Management

Lead investigations and root cause analysis

Implement corrective actions and follow up on execution

Communicate findings and solutions to customers

Quality & Product Performance

Monitor product and plant quality trends

Identify deviations and support resolution with Operations

Prepare and share quality reports with internal teams and customers

Customer Relationship Management

Build strong relationships with customer technical and production teams

Understand customer needs and production processes

Support product trials and gather feedback

Technical Support & Continuous Improvement

Support customers and plants in problem solving

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure alignment on product specifications

Market Intelligence

Monitor market trends and competitor products

Support leadership with insights to drive business decisions

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field

Experience in a technical customer‑facing role such as technical sales, technical support, production, process, or product quality within ceramics, tiles, industrial minerals or similar industries

Strong understanding of product performance, quality and problem‑solving methodologies

Ability to analyze customer issues and support root cause analysis

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Technical & Innovation, Supply Chain and customers

Analytical mindset with a practical, solution‑oriented approach

Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus

About The Role You will be part of a solid international technical sales team supporting customers across multiple ceramic markets.

This role offers a unique combination of technical depth and commercial exposure:

Acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers

Supporting product trials and implementation on site

Contributing to new business opportunities and growth projects

Working across functions in an international matrix organization

You will also collaborate closely with internal teams across Sales, Operations, Technical & Innovation and Supply Chain, acting as a key link between Sibelco’s products and customer needs.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is €53,950 – €74,182. The final remuneration will be determined based on skills, effort, responsibility and relevant experience. Additional compensation components and benefits will be discussed during the recruitment process.
