Overview In this role, you support BASF’s FCC catalyst portfolio by delivering technical expertise to improve refinery performance and enable business growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to refinery customers, collaborating with commercial, R&D, manufacturing, and product teams to drive technical excellence and solutions. You’ll conduct catalyst evaluations, troubleshooting, and performance assessments while guiding site visits, startups, and turnarounds. The position combines leadership, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to shape FCC technology and outcomes across Europe.

Responsabilità

Provide expert support on catalyst performance, additive applications, troubleshooting and refinery unit optimization Build trusted customer relationships through technical reviews, site visits, startups, turnarounds and performance assessments Collaborate with Commercial, R&D, Manufacturing, Product Management and Global Technology teams to drive retention and growth Deliver technical excellence via catalyst evaluations, refinery data analysis, and resolving complex FCC operating challenges Enhance operational effectiveness through technical projects, resource planning, customer deliverables, and process, safety, quality, and regulatory improvements Coordinate with industry experts, licensors, laboratories, and consultants to ensure high service delivery

Requisiti fondamentali

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related discipline Significant experience in refining, FCC operations, catalyst technologies, technical service or process engineering Proven track record leading technical teams and delivering complex projects Deep expertise in FCC catalyst technology and refinery operations Strong business acumen, communication, and stakeholder management with ability to translate technical solutions into customer value Willingness to travel ~30% of working time (Western and Northern Europe) strong communication and presentation skills stakeholder management customer-centric collaboration FCC catalyst technology refinery operations technical service and process engineering
