OVERVIEW

SATĀYA

is representing a private members' club opening in Malta in autumn 2026. The club brings together seasonal Mediterranean dining, a dedicated cocktail programme and cultural programming inside a membership-led space built around belonging rather than throughput. This is a founding-team appointment, made before the doors open.

The

Head Waiter

we are looking for has done the hours on a serious floor and knows the difference between good and exceptional lives in the small details. You lead a section with quiet authority, you remember what a member drank last time, and junior staff learn by watching you. You have stayed somewhere long enough to have built something, and you are ready to help set the standard in a room from day one.

SCOPE OF ROLE

1) Floor Leadership & Service Standards Lead a section of the floor, holding service standards consistently across every cover. Act as the point of contact for members requiring elevated attention or complex requests. Set the tone through personal example during service, briefings and turnaround.

2) Team Development Mentor and support junior team members, correcting in the moment and without friction. Contribute to the embedding of service culture across a newly formed team.

3) Coordination & Flow Work closely with the F&B Supervisor and F&B Manager to keep service smooth and coordinated. Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar to protect pace and sequencing.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

European citizenship / EU passport — essential. Sponsorship is not available. Proven experience as a Head Waiter or senior server within fine dining, a members' club or a comparable quality-led environment. A track record of meaningful tenure, with depth of experience in a small number of venues rather than frequent moves. Warm, instinctively guest-oriented and attuned to the subtleties of exceptional service. Demonstrated leadership on the floor and the confidence to hold standards across a section. Composed under pressure, adapting without letting standards slip. Able to relocate to Malta independently, funding their own move and accommodation.
