Emmi Desserts Italia is part of Emmi Desserts, the division of the Swiss Emmi Group focused on high-quality, innovative dessert products for global markets. The Italian branch plays a key role by producing premium chilled desserts under its own brands and for private labels, with tiramisu as its flagship product representing Italian excellence worldwide.
We are currently recruiting the next
Category Specialist,
who will report to the Category Manager, supporting the design and execution of commercial plans within the assigned markets through seamless data and insights analysis and close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams. The position will be based in
Gattico-Veruno
, the headquarters of Emmi Desserts Italia.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
Analyze data (sell-in, sell-out, panel data) of the countries you will be responsible for, and you will translate them into actionable insights to influence decision-making.
Take responsibility for the monthly performance scorecard and quarterly report to identify gaps and opportunities in your markets.
Work together with the Category Team to develop a shopper-led category vision and build strong and consistent trade story to support category development in key strategic retailers.
Play a central role in the Annual Commercial Plan working with sales managers and key account managers identifying category growth opportunity and addressing risks.
Support local sales teams to prepare meetings with key customers, ensuring Emmi Desserts Italia is always perceived as a category captain at the forefront of market trends.
Proactively highlight opportunities for new products’ development based on data-driven insights and inform marketing team.
Collaborate closely with marketing, sales and finance to build business case regarding new product launches and new category development.
Support the Category Manager on special projects that sustain Emmi Desserts Italia growth ambition.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
You have a bachelor’s in management or similar.
You have 2-3 years of experience in category management and or trade marketing in FMCG companies, ideally within food industry.
Full proficiency in English. Other languages like French and German are considered as a plus.
