We are currently seeking a Plant Execution Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy!
The Plant Execution Team (PET) Project Manager will receive objectives from the Plant Manager and actively engage with NPDI/ETO Project Managers, Buyers, Planners, Procurement, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Plant Operations teams engaged on the projects to be launched by the PET. The goal is to ensure on-time delivery of all prototype and customer builds by driving rapid and accurate bill of materials activation and execution.
What kind of work will you be doing?
Lead the Plant Execution Team to activate and order bills of materials, coordinate with NPDI and ETO teams, and drive on-time delivery of internal engineering prototypes, manufacturing prototypes, and customer builds. Host daily standups and execute 2 week sprints using Agile methods to deliver activation, ordering, and builds on time with quality. Drive team behaviors and culture to break through perceived barriers and/or process issues to deliver ON TIME to our customers needs – establish a culture of delivering on time. Eliminate siloed behaviors and have team function as one serving the needs of our customers.
Manage build schedules, track material availability, identify and resolve material and process bottlenecks, and report build status, risks, and escalations to leadership.
Drive continuous improvement in bill of materials activation speed and accuracy and develop standard processes for plant execution handoffs from product development to plant teams.
What will make you successful?
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a closely related field, or equivalent required
Advanced degree preferred but not required
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
5-7 years minimum of experience in project management within manufacturing, plant operations, or product development environments
Strong understanding of bill of materials structure, activation, and procurement processes
Experience working with New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) processes
Experience with Agile sprints/scrum master preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability for on-time delivery
Strong communication skills to coordinate across product development, supply chain, procurement, and plant operations teams
Ability to manage multiple concurrent builds with competing priorities and tight timelines
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve material and process bottlenecks quickly
High proficiency in Microsoft Office required (including Excel and Project)
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems required
Self-starter capable of taking high-level objectives and converting them into detailed execution plans
