Location: Bergamo, Italy (hybrid/remote roles may be considered in exceptional cases)

We are seeking an Analog IC Design Engineer to join a fast‑growing team working on the design and development of cutting‑edge silicon transceiver solutions for ultra‑high bandwidth, low‑latency optical interconnects targeting generative AI, cellular, and high‑bandwidth data transfer applications. You will have a proven track record in designing high‑speed analog and mixed‑signal circuits in advanced CMOS FinFET technologies.

• Collaborating with photonics, silicon and system engineering teams to develop and optimise proprietary SerDes architectures, including the development of key design specifications
• Designing and developing key SerDes silicon IP such as high‑bandwidth receive and transmit amplifiers, Phase‑Locked Loops (PLLs), Delay‑Locked Loops (DLLs), Equalisers (CTLE, DFE, FFE), Clock Recovery Circuits and Samplers
• Designing and developing general purpose analog building blocks (bias generators, regulators, ADCs and DACs)
• Defining and executing design verification plans to ensure designs meet specifications and performance requirements
• Supporting the silicon bring‑up, validation and characterisation from concept through to productisation

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant Engineering discipline with 8+ years of industry experience
• A proven track record in designing analog and mixed‑signal circuits for SerDes applications at 7nm or below, and operating at data rates of 32Gbps or above
• Expert user of cutting‑edge EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, xlwpduy Spectre/HSpice, Calibre/PVS DRC/LVS
• A strong theoretical knowledge of analog circuit design principles
• Expert high‑speed circuit designer, with experience of signal integrity and power integrity
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven, detail‑oriented approach
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working, communicating, and collaborating in a cross‑functional team
• An ability to adapt to a fast‑moving start‑up environment, striving for innovation and excellence in everything you do
