Data Centre QC Engineer: Inspections, ITPs & Handover

Site-based QC role supporting the delivery, inspection, testing and handover of a major data centre project. Responsible for managing quality control processes across construction and commissioning phases, ensuring systems, documentation and inspections are completed accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection records and test pack documentation.
• Coordinate walkdowns, snagging, system turnovers and quality close-out activities.
• Track inspections, defects and corrective actions through to completion.
• Support commissioning and final handover processes, ensuring systems are compliant and signed off.
• Maintain accurate quality data across BIM/ACC platforms and monitor reporting/KPIs.
• Work closely with construction, commissioning, BIM, EHS, supply chain and client teams.
• Monitor equipment certification, tagging and compliance documentation including LEED/BREEAM requirements.
• Promote a strong quality culture focused on safety, accountability and "right first time" delivery.

Requirements

• Experience in a QC Engineer or quality inspection role on large-scale construction projects.
• Previous exposure to data centres, pharmaceuticals or other regulated environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of inspections, test packs, walkdowns and handover procedures.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, SLDs and P&IDs.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
