Data Centre QC Engineer: Inspections, ITPs & Handover

Site-based QC role supporting the delivery, inspection, testing and handover of a major data centre project. Responsible for managing quality control processes across construction and commissioning phases, ensuring systems, documentation and inspections are completed accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection records and test pack documentation.

Coordinate walkdowns, snagging, system turnovers and quality close-out activities.

Track inspections, defects and corrective actions through to completion.

Support commissioning and final handover processes, ensuring systems are compliant and signed off.

Maintain accurate quality data across BIM/ACC platforms and monitor reporting/KPIs.

Work closely with construction, commissioning, BIM, EHS, supply chain and client teams.

Monitor equipment certification, tagging and compliance documentation including LEED/BREEAM requirements.

Promote a strong quality culture focused on safety, accountability and "right first time" delivery.

Requirements

Experience in a QC Engineer or quality inspection role on large-scale construction projects.

Previous exposure to data centres, pharmaceuticals or other regulated environments preferred.

Strong understanding of inspections, test packs, walkdowns and handover procedures.

Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, SLDs and P&IDs.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
