Senior Electrical Engineer | Join the Engineering Hub at Arkad (Milan)
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a solid background in executing complex energy projects? At Arkad, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our permanent Head Office / Engineering Hub in Milan.
In this role, you will perform core design activities, act as a key technical reference point within the discipline, and support the Chief Engineer in ensuring successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Deliverables: Prepare core electrical discipline outputs, including design criteria, technical specifications, calculations, data sheets, inspection data sheets, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
- Technical Quality & Accuracy: Ensure all work is done with high accuracy, performing squad-checks and carefully reviewing deliverables from other electrical engineers.
- Vendor & Supply Chain Interface: Deal directly with electrical equipment and system suppliers. You will handle vendor follow-up, review vendor documentation, attend shop inspections, and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Project Support: Assist the Chief Engineer in client interactions , coordinate external engineering resources , manage claims (cost/time impacts, risk quantification) , and prepare material/erection quantity estimates.
- Site Coordination: Participate in Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and support the Site Technical Office during erection and commissioning phases.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance, technical support, and tutoring to less experienced colleagues within the team.
Your Profile:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering specifically within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy EPC projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent High School Diploma.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of international electrical codes, standards, and best practices (IEC, IEEE, ATEX, etc.). Knowledge of Power Management Systems (PMS), SCADA Network architecture, and electrical installation bulk materials.
- Software Toolkit: Working proficiency with ETAP, Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), and CAD tools.
- Languages: Good written and spoken English
