R&D Software Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager with a software or systems background to join the R&D department in Bologna.

The role involves leading cross-functional and international teams and managing R&D projects from concept to start of production, ensuring alignment with time, quality, scope, and cost targets in accordance with Toyota processes.

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent
• 2–4 years of experience in Project Management, software R&D environments is a plus
• Experience with software development lifecycle (Agile or hybrid models)
• Project Management certifications (PMP, CSM, PRINCE2) are a plus
• Proficient in using Git and DevOps, to maintain stable, collaborative, and efficient R&D codebases is a plus
• Fluent in English
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
• Organized, proactive, and structured mindse

• Lead R&D projects
• Coordinate the work of R&D teams (software, electronic, mechanic) with other corporate functions throughout the project development process.
• Plan, monitor, and report project activities and milestones
• Ensure alignment with Toyota New Product Development processes
• Support continuous improvement of project management practices

• Learn and work in an international environment, with daily contact with Toyota companies worldwide
• Support and apply Toyota R&D practices
• Work in close and continuous collaboration with Research teams
• Manage projects according to the Toyota New Product Development process
• Gain a broad overview of company departments and R&D activities
