As Head of Finance & Controlling for Mobile Power Solutions EMEA

You will act as a strategic finance partner, supporting the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the leadership team to drive financial performance, oversee the accounting function, strengthen internal controls, and enable data‑driven decision‑making across commercial and operational activities. • Take ownership of the accounting function for Mobile Power Solutions EMEA, including overseeing and actively participating in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the books. Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and other financial reporting packages in accordance with internal and external requirements. Analyze financial results, providing clear insights to support both strategic and operational decision‑making.

  • Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) across MPS EMEA. Partner with business leaders in financial performance reviews and drive accountability toward targets.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls, and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits and implement improvements to strengthen governance and the internal control framework.
  • Identify and drive improvements in reporting and processes to enhance reporting accuracy, financial performance and operational efficiency.

What do we offer?

An opportunity to make a real impact in a global, performance‑driven organization. As Head of Finance for Mobile Power Solutions EMEA, you will operate close to the business as a trusted partner to leadership, with real influence on decisions and outcomes. You’ll have the mandate to take ownership, shape how finance supports the business, and grow your role over time – with strong opportunities to develop into broader finance leadership or business leadership roles within a global organization.

A suitable background would be experience from auditing and/or accounting (experience gained in a Big 4 firm is considered a strong merit), and should be complemented by at least a couple of years of hands‑on business controlling or finance management experience within an operating company, partnering closely with a P&L leader. The following qualifications and experiences are also viewed as meritorious:

  • Experience from a large organization (regional, divisional, or segment level) or from a mid‑sized, entrepreneurial company, working as a true business partner
  • International, product‑based business environment experience is preferred and experience from decentralized environments is a strong plus
  • Experience as the right‑hand person to a business manager, providing financial insights and support
  • Solid understanding and experience of accounting, preferably both local Italian GAAP and IFRS
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and financial reporting, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, strong knowledge of variance analysis and KPI tracking, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
  • Fluency in Italian and English, written and verbal
  • University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:

  • Strong ownership and drive: You take full accountability, act decisively, and drive results with a high level of autonomy — even in complex or uncertain situations.
  • Commercial and business‑oriented mindset: You understand what drives business performance and translate financial expertise into actionable insights with real commercial impact.
  • Analytical and insight‑driven: You structure and interpret complex financial and operational data to support decision‑making, identify risks, and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Clear communicator and trusted partner: You communicate financial topics clearly and credibly to non‑financial stakeholders, influencing decisions and building strong partnerships.
  • Curious, detail‑oriented, and quality‑focused: You combine a growth mindset and curiosity with strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate reporting while continuously improving how things are done
