We are a leading multinational company specializing in the design and manufacture of electric motors. With a global footprint and a commitment to innovation, we are currently seeking a highly motivated Electric Motor Design Engineer.
Mission
At Nidec Global Appliance, the R&D Electric Motors team is responsible for the design, analysis, validation, and implementation of electric motors and components for residential and commercial applications. Our core mission is to develop innovative, reliable, and cost-effective products that meet performance and safety standards, aligned with the company’s strategic vision and timelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of new electric motor technologies and solutions
- Create analytical and numerical models for motor analysis and design
- Support the prototyping process, suppliers certifications and production institutes approvals
- Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory tests for performance validation and product certification
- Assist in software validation related to motor control and system integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics, mechanics, and product compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field focused on electrical machines
- Knowledge of electric motor operation, design principles, and performance metrics
- Experience with engineering software tools (e.g., Ansys, Motor-CAD, MATLAB/Simulink, Maxwell, or similar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of initiative
- Good communication skills in both English and Italian (spoken and written)
- Good attitude to team-work
Contractual & Corporate Compensation
- Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time.
- Salary Range (Gross Annual Salary / RAL): €35,000 – €42,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with the actual experience gained and the technical skills assessed during the selection process.
- Seniority Transparency: Should the candidate's profile demonstrate skills and seniority exceeding the basic requirements for the position, the company reserves the right to offer a higher job classification and budget, commensurate with the increased responsibilities required by the role and the applied CCNL.
Contractual & Corporate Welfare & Benefits

- Contractual Welfare: €250/year to be spent on goods and services.
