Remote senior backend developer - folks finance

Overview Folks Finance is seeking a Junior Backend Developer to join our team. As a Junior Backend Developer, you will collaborate closely with our experienced engineers to develop, optimise and maintain the backend infrastructure of our De Fi products. You will gain hands-on experience with Web3 technologies, blockchain integrations and scalable backend systems that power our decentralized applications. Responsibilities Develop, test and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and Type Script. Collaborate with frontend developers and blockchain engineers to ensure seamless integration with smart contracts and web applications. Work with databases (SQL and Graph Ql) to efficiently store and manage data. Assist in debugging and resolving backend issues. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in De Fi, blockchain, and backend technologies. Requirements Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Backend Developer or similar role (can include internships or personal projects). Type Script: Familiar, ideally with experience in Node.js. Web3: Basic knowledge of blockchains, De Fi protocols and smart contracts. APIs: Experience working with either RESTful or Graph QL APIs. Dev Ops: Basic understanding of modern Dev Ops practices and tools e.g. Docker, CI/CD pipelines. Version Control: Familiar with Git. Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
