Nursery Teacher — Reggio Emilia Inspired (Early Years)

Acorn International School, part of the Ingenium Education Group, is seeking a warm, imaginative Nursery Teacher to join our Early Years team at our beautiful, light‑filled campus in Rome.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our nursery treats the environment as the “third teacher” and the child as a capable, curious protagonist of their own learning. We are looking for someone who sees the hundred languages of childhood—drawing, building, movement, story, play—as a real curriculum, and who can document and nurture each child's discoveries with care.

The role

• Plan and lead an emergent, project‑based programme for our youngest learners
• Create a calm, beautiful, provocation‑rich classroom that invites exploration
• Observe and document children’s learning to share with families and colleagues
• Work closely with assistants, the atelier, and parents as partners

We're looking for

• A recognised teaching qualification (Early Years / EYFS, or equivalent)
• Native or fluent English
• Genuine affinity with Reggio Emilia principles (direct experience a strong advantage)
• Warmth, patience, and a collaborative spirit
