Cybersecurity Specialist - STAGE

We are looking for a cybersecurity specialist to join our R&D team in Albano Laziale (Rome). The selected candidate will support the team in activities aimed at ensuring that COSMED's medical devices are placed on and maintained in the market in compliance with applicable cybersecurity laws, regulations and procedures in Italy, the European Union and other countries where the company operates

Tasks

The candidate will support the team in

• defining the cybersecurity architecture of COSMED medical device
• performing threat modelling activities and risk analysis using framework such as STRIDE
• SBOM generation in machine-readable format (CycloneDX or SPDX)
• secure code analysis activities
• vulnerability identification (CVE) using automated scanning tools, vulnerability databases, and severity scoring systems (CVSS)
• coordinating penetration testing activities

Education

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines)

Soft skills

• Problem-solving attitude

Nice to have (Plus)

Knowledge of standards and regulations such as:

• IEC 62304
• IEC 81001-5-1
• NIIS2 Directive

Experience in software (SW) and/or firmware development

Language skills

Fluent knowledge of English language is required.
