The Education Specialist ensures academic quality and operational effectiveness across Still I Rise International IB Schools. The role provides strategic oversight of the SIR Educational Model and its alignment with the IB, manages cross-school educational operations, and works closely with other departments to deliver integrated, high-quality programmes aligned with organisational goals and the four pillars of Still I Rise.

1. Strategic Oversight
Support the Head of Education and IB Specialist in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the educational strategy in alignment with SIR and IB philosophy and Standards and Practices
Design, maintain, and continuously improve the Still I Rise Educational Model in line with the four pillars
Guide curriculum design and assessment across IB and non-IB years, ensuring vertical alignment with IB requirements, ATL, and assessment principles
Support the implementation of extracurricular and enrichment programmes across schools
Develop and implement policies and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all SIR schools
2. Teacher Development & Performance
Support the hiring, onboarding, and professional growth of education staff.
Co-design and implement the Professional Pathway for teachers in collaboration with the Education Department.
Provide guidance, training, classroom observations, and feedback aligned with IB approaches to teaching and learning, inquiry-based pedagogy, and reflective practice.
Support interventions in pedagogy, inclusion, differentiation, and behavior management including the implementation of Individualized Education Plans and targeted interventions and support in collaboration with the Inclusion team.
3. Project Management and Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Coordinate with Programs for calendars, infrastructure, resources, and budgets.
Collaborate with CPS on student selection, case management, and safeguarding.
Work with Programs and CPS on policy review, ensuring holistic and consistent implementation.
Mentor and supervise school leaders, empowering them to manage programs with autonomy and effectiveness.
Write and disseminate regular reports on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Requirements
Advanced degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
Proven experience managing teachers and school leaders across diverse contexts
Strong understanding of international educational frameworks, with experience in the IB MYP and DP context
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and inspire educators
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven experience in cross-departmental collaboration and stakeholder engagement
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites
Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish
Confidence using digital tools and learning platforms in global education environments
