OverviewThe ERP Technical Specialist within the CSI Digital Solutions area supports the design, development, and continuous improvement of FAO’s ERP environment, primarily based on Oracle technologies (Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.15 and Fusion Applications). The role focuses on modernization of technical infrastructure, expansion of ERP capabilities, and the implementation of additional business applications to enhance automation, integration, and cloud migration where applicable.ResponsibilitiesProvide knowledge and guidance of Oracle ERP technology principles and best practices across multiple Oracle eBusiness Suite modules (e.g. General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, SLA, HR, Payroll).Contribute to business and scope analysis and gather requirements for new functionalities across multiple domains (e.g. Financials, HR, Procurement, Travel).Design, build, implement and maintain ERP functionality, customisations, extensions, and personalization using the Oracle eBS stack (Forms, Reports, Workflows, OAF, AME, ADF, PL/SQL) to meet business requirements.Design, build, implement and maintain solutions to complement core ERP functionality using low-code development frameworks (e.g. Apex or Visual Builder) and Integration Cloud Platform (Oracle Integration Cloud).Contribute to architectural reviews of the ERP environment and work toward modernizing architecture (on-premise or cloud-based) and enabling additional modules or extensions (cloud or on-premise).Troubleshoot and determine root causes for ERP-related issues across modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, EFT, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, HRMS).Ensure coherency and compliance with organizational standards in collaboration with CSI teams.Design and execute cross-platform testing and verification.Ensure development standards, documentation, and change-management procedures are followed.Recommend operational improvements to enhance support process efficiency.Perform other related duties as needed.Minimum RequirementsFor Consultants: Advanced university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics or related field; consultants with a bachelor’s degree require two additional years of relevant experience.For PSA: University degree (or technical degree/certificate) in Computer Science or Mathematics/Statistics or related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2) and related tools/technologies.Working knowledge of English.FAO Core CompetenciesResults FocusTeamworkCommunicationBuilding Effective RelationshipsKnowledge Sharing and Continuous ImprovementTechnical/Functional SkillsKnowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, preferably in public sector or international organization contexts.Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite modules such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable, EFT, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger (including SLA), Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Payroll, HR, Oracle Advanced Benefits, etc.Experience with low-code development platforms (Oracle Apex or Visual Builder Cloud Services).Experience with integration platforms (Oracle Integration Cloud) and robotic process automation platforms (e.g., UIPath).Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment; strong client interaction and communication skills; ability to produce clear reports and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Work experience in other international organizations or multiple locations is a plus.Selection CriteriaExtent and relevance of experience in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 and/or Oracle Fusion Applications.Proficiency with ERP modules such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger (including SLA), Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Payroll, EFT, HR (core and SSHR), Oracle Advanced Benefits, etc.Proficiency with tools such as Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, Workflows, OAF, ADF, AME, PL/SQL, Apex, Integration Cloud Services, and RPA.Experience in client, management, and peer relationships; strong verbal communication; knowledge of additional FAO official languages is a plus.Job DetailsJob Type: Non-staff opportunitiesType of Requisition: Consultant / PSA (Personal Services Agreement)Primary Location: Various LocationsDuration: Up to 11 monthsClosure Date: 18 May 2026, 11:59 PMImportant NoticesFAO is committed to workforce diversity and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds.Qualified female applicants, qualified nationals of underrepresented Member States, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.All selected candidates will undergo reference and background checks; confidentiality will be maintained for applications.FAO’s commitment to environmental sustainability is integral to our strategic objectives and operations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
