Job Scope

The Health & Safety Specialist, reporting directly to the reference Manager, is responsible for all legal aspects related to employee health and safety across our sites, carrying out both analytical/document-based activities and on-site inspections. The role also provides operational support to the Head of the Prevention and Protection Service (RSPP), in compliance with Legislative Decree 81/08, collaborating with the various company functions on relevant matters within their scope.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with RSPP in the collection and analysis of the data necessary for risk assessment, providing the necessary information relating to the work activities carried out, to contribute to the definition of preventive and protective measures, the identification of the related control systems and the development of work procedures and instructions.
  • Support the RSPP in the drafting and updating of Safety Documents (such as Risk Assessment Documents, Fire Risk Assessment Documents, Emergency Plans) and related documents.
  • Participate in scheduled inspections and checks in the workplace.
  • Supporting the RSPP in the management and drafting of Safety coordination documents (Safety and Coordination Plan, Single Interference Risk Assessment Document, Coordination Minutes, etc.) relating to Third Party Companies operating in the workplace.
  • Promptly notify the RSPP of any organisational and/or production process changes in order to proceed with any revision of the Safety Documents.
  • Verify the application of safety procedures and instructions and contribute to their dissemination.
  • Identify and report any dangers and critical situations, potential risks to the safety of workers and the healthiness of the workplace, collaborating in the identification of corrective actions (technical, organisational and procedural) with the RSPP, with the reference Manager and the Employer in order to reduce risks.
  • Monitor the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by workers to suggest any updates.
  • Support the RSPP in the management of emergencies by communicating any changes that may occur (e.g. in relation to the training and designation of Emergency and First Aid Officers) as well as in the organization of evacuation tests.
  • Collaborate in the planning of compulsory training and verify the correct registration of training activities through the use of dedicated management software and support the RSPP for the subsequent appointment process of the subjects identified by Legislative Decree 81/08.
  • Collaborate with RSPP for the preparation of information materials.
  • Support the Company in the management of documentation relating to plants, equipment and PPE.
  • Support the Company by providing assistance to the Bodies responsible for legal controls (ADR, ASL, INL, VVF, etc.) during the performance of inspections, inspections.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in legal studies, Environmental or Safety Engineering, or related fields
  • Preferred qualification: Master’s degree in Health & Safety Management or HSE
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar roles within medium to large-sized companies
  • Training in compliance with the State-Regions Agreement of April 17, 2025 (Modules A and B): ASPP
  • Knowledge of Legislative Decree 81/2008 and applicable technical standards
  • Risk analysis skills and knowledge of business processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team with RSPP, Supervisors, and Managers
