Experteer Overview In this role you will head the HSE function for a flagship data centre project in Milan, directing strategy and enforcement of safety and environmental standards. You will lead a multidisciplinary HSE team, ensure compliance with Italian and EU legislation, and drive a proactive safety culture across all contractors. You will oversee RAMS reviews, audits, incident investigations, and reporting to senior management and clients. This position offers impact in zero-harm initiatives and environmental best practices within a fast-growing European data centre construction portfolio. Retribuzione / Benefits Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the project HSE Management Plan Provide visible leadership on site and promote a safety-first culture across contractors and stakeholders Manage and mentor the HSE team ensuring site coverage, reporting, and compliance monitoring Ensure full compliance with Italian and EU HSE legislation, industry standards, and client requirements Oversee review and approval of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) Conduct high-level audits and inspections, identify trends, and implement corrective actions Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses with root-cause analysis Chair HSE meetings with subcontractors and senior project stakeholders Provide detailed HSE performance reports to senior management and client representatives Coordinate emergency response planning and regular drills and training Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve zero harm and environmental targets Responsabilità Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in construction HSE roles, with 2–3 years in leadership Proven experience on large-scale, mission-critical or data centre projects is highly desirable Strong knowledge of Italian and EU health, safety, and environmental legislation Experience managing HSE teams on complex construction projects Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and reporting capability Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent) are advantageous Requisiti fondamentali Negotiable basic salary Comprehensive package including net allowances Fully expensed accommodation Rotational travel Attractive bonus structure #J-18808-Ljbffr
