Overview
Satāya is representing a well‑known five‑star hotel in Malta currently preparing for one of the island’s most high‑profile openings. This is a branded property with strong commercial infrastructure and a team culture built around energy, accountability and genuine guest focus.
As the business moves toward opening, they are looking to bring on a Junior Revenue and Reservations Manager. This is a combined role that sits at the intersection of reservations operations and commercial performance. It’s a genuine dual‑function position and a strong platform for someone who wants to develop across both disciplines without being pigeonholed into one.
The role will suit a candidate who is already comfortable running reservations day-to-day and has started to develop real commercial instincts around pricing, distribution and yield. You don’t need to be a fully‑fledged revenue strategist, but you do need to understand the principles, work confidently with data, and be willing to take ownership across both functions. There is clear scope to grow into a more specialised position as the property matures.
Scope of Role
Reservations Operations
Day-to-day management of the reservations function, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness and service quality across all booking channels
Monitoring and managing channel distribution across direct, OTA and GDS to ensure inventory is correctly positioned at all times
Handling VIP reservations, group bookings and special requests with the care and attention to detail these require
Collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing and Front Office to ensure alignment on strategy, promotions and guest experience
Revenue Management & Commercial Performance
Supporting the development and implementation of pricing and yield strategies to maximise occupancy, ADR and RevPAR
Monitoring demand trends, competitor performance and market dynamics to inform pricing decisions
Analysing reservations data and contributing to weekly and monthly forecasting and performance reporting
Supporting the optimisation of PMS, channel management and revenue management tools to ensure systems are used effectively
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Front Office to align on strategy, promotions and guest experience across the property
Contributing to revenue meetings with data‑driven insights and practical recommendations
Maintaining strong relationships with OTA partners and distribution contacts to ensure the property is effectively represented across all channels
Ideal Candidate Profile
Three or more years in hotel reservations or front office, with some exposure to revenue management principles or practices
Experience in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity, even if earlier in tenure
Solid working knowledge of Opera or a comparable PMS; familiarity with channel management tools
Commercially aware, with a genuine interest in the revenue and distribution side of hotel operations
Comfortable working with data, producing reports and drawing practical conclusions from performance metrics
Highly organised and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication in English; additional languages are an advantage
A grounded, collaborative approach with the maturity to work effectively across departments from the outset
