The Infrastructure Specialist role at Kyndryl Italia Innovation Services is a project‑based subject matter expert in all aspects of infrastructure – providing analysis, documentation and diagramming work for hand‑off, offering timely solutions, and generally figuring it out. Responsibilities There are two halves to this role: Contribute to current projects by analyzing problems and technical issues, offering solutions, and testing, modifying, automating, and integrating systems, with particular attention to Mainframe Architecture. Engage in long‑range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. You will be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify technical and timeline risks upfront. Required Technical and Professional Experience Deep expertise within specific technology domain areas (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). Enterprise IT application experience. Hands‑on experience in at least one of the following: software development, Dev Ops engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture. Knowledge of Mainframe Architecture. Experience driving engineering solutions and working across teams. Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce conclusions and responses. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written. Strong process improvement experience. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience In‑depth knowledge of Mainframe architecture. Exceptional judgment and decision‑making abilities. Familiarity with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
