Project director - industrial buildings

Project Director – Industrial – Milan CLIENT Linum Consult's client is an international design and build main contractor, specialising in large commercial and industrial buildings. They are currently seeking a Project Director to join their team on a manufacturing facility construction project in Milan. RESPONSIBILITIES

Based on site, you will be managing the main contractors, sub-contractors, designers and cost consultancies Overseeing the detailed design of the project Leading the project management team to ensure that the project cycle is completed and meets the agreed standards and objectives Carrying out portfolio cost control and forecast reporting, estimating project budget approval reviews, and conducting costed risk management Creating an organisation structure to optimise the most efficient use of resources Preparing the budget for your department, and monitoring the financial performance of the project; rectifying any problems that arise Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure that all works are carried out to high standards, deadlines and budgets. Recommending improvements to departmental policies and procedures

PROFILE

Degree qualified in Construction or Engineering Strong background within the construction industry, with experience of working on highly-technical large industrial buildings Strong leadership and communication skills Fluent in spoken and written Italian and English A history of working for either main contractors or engineering consultancies The right to live and work in the EU
