As Purchasing Manager, you will oversee the procurement for the brand-new Rosewood Rome preopening and ongoing hotel operations. You will ensure timely supply of goods, optimal stock levels, and cost‑effective purchasing through competitive bidding and market benchmarking. You will lead vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with multiple departments to support a successful opening and smooth post‑opening running. This role places you at the heart of our supply chain, shaping quality, value, and service for a luxury guest experience.

Retribuzione / Benefits

  • Ensure on‑time supplies and goods for all hotel needs
  • Maintain stock levels per Min/Max and review annually
  • Analyze consumption and adjust Min/Max levels
  • Maintain comprehensive supplier data (channels, pricing, availability)
  • Negotiate annual contracts for bulk F&B and general supplies
  • Conduct competitive bidding for high‑volume/high‑cost purchases (min3 bidders)
  • Identify minimum 3 suppliers for engineering spare parts
  • Lead monthly meetings with MD/DFBP/AP/HODs and prepare minutes
  • Conduct market surveys and reference with Cost Controller and Chef for purchasing decisions
  • Compare market price lists;
    prepare price variancesfor review
  • Procure best quality at best price;
    communicate delays to user departments
  • Maintain supplier reputation and collaboration;
    coordinate with sister hotels
  • Train department staff per training needs and performance appraisals
  • Adhere to company policies and budget limits;
    develop/update divisionpolicies
  • Assist with procurement‑related tasks beyond stated scope
  • Develop and update divisional policies for consistency

Responsabilità

  • University graduate
  • Good communication skills;
    ability to plan
  • 5 years of experience in an international‑class hotel
  • Experience in materials controls is desired
  • Proficient in English;
    excellent Italian
  • Initiative and commitment to professional values
  • Ability to work with cross‑functional teams
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management
