Senior Hydraulic Engineer (Milan or Rome)

Full‑time position (100%).

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydraulic studies for dams and hydropower plants, including analysis of spillway, intake, and outlet capacities, transient flow behaviour, and sediment management strategies.
• Perform hydraulic design calculations to ensure compliance with relevant technical standards and project specifications.
• Prepare tender documents for engineering services and construction works related to hydraulic and hydropower projects, both domestically and internationally.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering and modelling experts, to deliver high‑quality project outputs.
• Undertake short‑ to medium‑term field assignments as required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering (PhD is an asset).
• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in hydraulic engineering on both domestic and international dam and hydropower projects.
• Demonstrated experience in the design, planning, and construction supervision of dams.
• Strong knowledge of international standards and guidelines for hydraulic design (e.G., ICOLD, USBR) and familiarity with advanced tools and methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English;
  proficiency in French is considered an asset.
